If you are the one here reading this then there is no better friend than you. All you could do is to stay by the person no matter how difficult it gets.

  • Let's Not Treat Them Like Patients : Nobody likes to be addressed themselves as "patients" especially if they are suffering from mental difficulties. This might trigger them and they might not further feel comfortable to share their feelings again.

  • Make Them Comfortable : Let them know that you are always there to help. Make no negative actions to doubt them on your intentions.

  • Listen To Them : This is something very important. Let them speak what they are going through because only they know what they are going through and let's not make our own assumption.

  • Do Not Always Question Them : Here out of concern you might keep asking them of their status which might get them irritated and might lead to a fight because of which they might not want to share anything ahead.

  • Take Them To Fun Places : Now not all might feel happy clubbing or partying but some might really feel stress releaved after a good get-together or even after dancing to their favorite songs. You never know what works better.

  • Take Them To A Doctor : If the person is stressed out for more than a certain period of time after trying your best to help them, then they definitely need a doctor's help. But make sure you don't force them for a consultation.
